Puppy and Family Dog programs





Early training and proper socialization helps prevent dogs from ending up in a shelter.



SAMS Puppy program



This program follows the AKC STAR PUPPY Curriculum. It is designed to help you understand the importance of early socialization(exposure), proper training, stages of development, bite inhibition, and house training. We also go over puppy management and exercise, problem-solving, food bowl exercises, handling and restraint, safety and poison control, and basic manners: sit, down, come, stay, wait, targeting, leash walking, and more! AKC STAR PUPPY Testing is optional at the end of the program. Our AKC STAR Puppy Evaluator teaches this program.

Start Date: November 12

Time: 7:30pm-8:30pm

Cost: $110 total. This program meets once a week for six weeks.

SAMS puppy patch program



Continuing onto Puppy 2 program after completing puppy school is one of the best ways to build on your dog's foundation and set them up for lifelong success. Puppy 2 strengthens those early skills by adding real-world challenges, distractions, and new commands that help your dog stay focused and responsive in any environment. Our Puppy (2) Patch program will get your pup ready for the Canine Good Citizen, and the canine adolescent stage. By progressing to the next level, you're not just maintaining good behavior--you're shaping a confident, well-mannered companion who can handle the world with calmness and confidence.

Start Date: Tuesday, November 11

Time: 6pm-7pm

Family Dog Programs





Building Better Behaviors Through Clear Communication.



Basic Manners & More



SAMS Basic Manners & More Program is designed to help you pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. Testing is not mandatory for participation. We build on existing behaviors learned in puppy school and add more stationary exercises. This program will help with loose leash walking, and we add fun games to help your dog become more fluent and cooperative in their skills and handling. (sitting politely for petting, coming when called, staying in place, and more)

Intermediate Manners & More



(Prerequisite: Basic Manners & More)

This is a Fun and Fast paced program that is tailored to your dog's skills, and we put those skills to the test! We'll be adding distance and distractions to their basics while proofing their skills. The location of this program may change to accommodate training needs and testing. The AKC CGCA testing is offered at the end of this program but not mandatory for participation.

Advanced Manners & More



(Prerequisite:Basic Manners & More) Location! Location! Location! Location matters! We will be building on the existing behaviors while learning new behaviors with real life rewards including stopping at street corners, ignoring food on the sidewalk, walking on different surfaces and more! This program meets at different locations. The AKC Urban CGC Test will be offered at the end of the program but is not mandatory for participation.

Need one-on-one training or behavior modification? Private training/behavior packages are booked out in four sessions. Each session is one hour long, and we meet once a week. Clients have a total of six weeks to complete their four one-hour sessions. Exceptions apply.

Private one-on-one at the training center $290 total for four sessions.

Family Dog Training for two dogs is $380 for four one-hour sessions.

Canine Scent & Canine Dance



Open to ALL Canines



Discover the perfect balance of fun and focus with our unique dual training program that combines Canine Scent Work and Canine Dance--Two exciting ways to strengthen your bond with your dog while building confidence, coordination, and communication. In scent work, your dog learns to use their natural abilities in a rewarding, mentally stimulating way, while canine dance channels that same focus into joyful, expressive movement set to music. Together, the programs create a well-rounded training experience that keeps both mind and body active.

Holiday Manners



Open to all Canines



SAMS Holiday Manners Start Date: November 12, 2025

Time: 6pm-7pm

Cost: $110 total. This program meets one hour a week for six weeks.

Before the holidays are one of the most important times to brush up on good manners. This program is designed to help your dog handle all the excitement, guests, and temptations that come with the season. Lessons taught: stay calm, sit, stay, leave it, polite greetings and other skills that keep your dog safe and make them a joy to have around family and friends. Call to enroll 814-724-7391



SAMS Advanced Holiday Manners



Open to all Canines



Start Date: Wednesday, November 12, 2025

Cost: $110 total. This program meets once a week for six weeks.

Advanced Holiday Manners Program is for anyone who has completed basic training 2 or our Holiday Manners program. In Advanced Holiday Manners, we work on impulse control and attention through realistic scenarios like staying calm when guests arrive, leaving dropped food on the floor, waiting patiently while people enter and exit the door, and settling quietly during meals or gatherings. These skills go beyond "sit" and "stay": they teach your dog to make better choices on their own, even during distractions. This program fills fast. Please call to register 814-724-7391




Obedience Thru Games



This Program turns traditional dog training into a fun, positive experience that strengthens the bond between you and your dog. Instead of relying on strict drills or repetition, this program uses interactive games to teach real-life obedience skills-like focus, recall, and self control-through play and engagement. Dogs learn faster and retain behaviors longer when they're having fun, and owners enjoy the process too! Whether you're building a better foundation for your dog or fine-tuning your canine's manners, Obedience Thru Games makes training enjoyable, effective, and rewarding for both ends of the leash.
