S.A.M.S. Puppy Pre School is designed for those puppies 8-16 weeks old. This program will help you introduce your puppy in a positive manner to the world around them. We'll help you start building that incredible canine bond by starting you off on the right paw! We cover crate training, house training, puppy biting, puppy play, sit, luring, redirecting, come, and there is so much more that is covered in this program.

This program follows the AKC STAR Puppy Program and is designed to help you understand the importance of socialization, proper training, stages of development, bite inhibition, and house training. We also go over Puppy Management and exercise, problem solving and prevention, food bowl exercises, handling and restrain, safety and poison control, basic manners:sit,down,come,stay,wait,targeting,leash walking and more! We'll be taking a positive approach and help you to recognize and prevent unwanted behaviors from starting. ** Puppies are required to have age appropriate vaccinations based on their veterinarian recommendations.

S.A.M.S. Puppy Patch Program fills in the gaps by teaching impulse control. Through fun games and the basics of sit, down, stand, come, wait and stay, and loose leash walking, your pup will learn to control themselves in a positive manner.

This program proofs and builds on the behaviors learned in a puppy program. By adding more stationary exercises, including distance and distractions, loose leash walking, and fun games, your dog will become more fluent and cooperative in his/her skills and handling. This program is also designed to help you pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. The ten test items for the AKC CGC are: 1. Accepting a friendly stranger 2. Sitting politely for petting 3.Appearance and grooming 4.Out for a walk 5.Walking through a crowd 6.Sit and Down on command/staying in place 7.Coming when called 8.Reaction to another dog 9.Reactions to distractions 10.Supervised separation.​ Testing is optional.

Prerequisite: Having passed S.A.M.S.Basic Manners & More program. Exceptions may apply.

This is a fun and fast paced program that is tailored to your dog's skills and we put those skills to the test! This program is designed to build and strengthen existing behaviors and skills while learning new behaviors with life rewards including loose leash walking with distractions, including other dogs. Sit and Down Stays with additional distance and distractions. This program is held both inside and outside, weather permitting, and is also designed to help you pass the AKC Community Canine test. The location of this program may change to accommodate training needs and testing. Testing is optional.

Prerequisite: Having successfully completed S.A.M.S. Intermediate Manners & More Program. Exceptions may apply.

This program is designed to build on the existing behaviors while learning new behaviors with life rewards including stopping at all street corners, crossing the street, ignoring food on the sidewalk, having appropriate reactions to different walking surfaces, passing cars,bicycles,and so much more. These are real life events on the streets in town and in the country. This program is held inside and outside weather permitting.
